September, October at TWICMC
Posted on September 6, 2010
Bob Helms will join us from Malone for his first-ever event at the Inn on September 11. He presents a Southern Country Gospel-style show.
On October 9, Carl and Michelle LaGray will return for their second trip to TWICMC this year. The LaGray's have appeared here numerous times before and have never failed to bring messages of God's love in all their songs.
Next, Port Leyden's Matt Weber Family wil entertain us October 16. Their 9-piece family group offers violins, guitar and close harmonies in Bluegrass arrangements. The family was included in this year's All Day Gospel Sing.
See the 2010 Schedule for more info or call us at (315) 493-2022.

New Website Highlights Local Churches, Ministries
Posted on September 6, 2010
The new website created to highlight the Village of Evans Mills has added a special section featuring Churches, Ministries and Charitable Organisations, available for viewing now. Additional features of the site will include village events, the faith community, images and notes of Evans Mills life and more to be presented as time permits. The site is looking for someone to do a bit of cartoon-style art, and asks that if you know someone with that skill to please let them know.
You may learn a bit about TWICMC's hometown or see things you couldn't have guessed you'd ever see, but it's certain that Evans Mills News & Info will bring a little local news and a bit of ad lib fun to your day --- and it's 100% Christian-based, too!

"One Church" Fits All --- Not?

What is "One Church in Christ" and how could it affect me?
Good questions. Want to take a Christian-based, educated guess at possible answers? Most folks today would say that a single
church cannot meet the needs of any and every person, everywhere ---
and every one of those folks would be utterly wrong!
There is indeed a single Church that can meet every possible need of every person who ever was, or ever will be. It's the Church as the living Body of Christ and based on Jesus Christ, Himself. You will find it demonstrated in practice in the Book of Acts.
So how did the original Church become as fragmented, contentious, disorganised, and ineffective as it is today? Again, good questions. There are good answers to be found if you want to join the discussion; OneChurchInChrist.com has room for your immediate participation.
