A look at TWICMC's musical outreach by its founder & friends

The Way Inn's founder, Robert "Bob" Sly, has been singing and playing good, old-time Christian Gospel music since his earliest years. His deceased father, Clarence Sly, was a well known local area musician who performed in various church music ministries and also appeared with several Christian singing groups.

Bob has written Christian songs for many years now, has recorded CD's of music he performs, and appears on a consistent schedule at local farmer's markets, nursing homes, churches, coffee houses and elsewhere. He is sometimes accompanied by his wife, Stephanie, on banjo.  He is currently the senior pastor at Pleasant Meadows Baptist Church in Evans Mills, NY, and has served in that capacity for the past three years.

Another TWICMC regular is musician Len Hamilton. Len's six-string acoustic/electric style blends traditional Gospel tunes with his original Christian and contemporary songs to tell the story of salvation and everyone's need to know God - and learn about Jesus. He good-naturedly says he gets few callbacks to do additional performances at many locations: "I guess I make folks think too much about their role on the community, to their families, and to God. But if upsetting someone leads them to better ways to live and serve God, then that makes it worthwhile." His moustache'd, long-haired appearance and self-described "radical" music sometimes puts folks off for a few minutes, but that soon changes. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1989.
